EdinFurs Meet, 4th of April 2026 Travel
We wanted to give a little bit of advice/information on travelling to the new venue (3 Old Monks) that will hopefully help some at least! Below is some help for travelling from Waverly in Central Edinburgh using public transport, and a parking image of two places to park that we think are the most convenient.

The Number 16 Bus and Tram are our favourites!

The two coloured zones in the first image below are our most recommended places to park for the Saturday meets:
-The Red Area is the Ocean Terminal - Red Car Park. This has 700 free car parking spaces, though with a height restriction of 6.9ft (2.10m). It's a little walk away, but should have good availability. The arrows show the entrance and exit areas. https://share.google/ObnyhtH3FpAaNsRnv
-The Blue Area is street parking that is closer to 3 Old Monks and is free and suitable to park during the meet. The second image below shows the signage here, but do double check when you park to ensure it hasn't changed and that you are in the right area. The arrow shows the direction of traffic matching the side of the road this parking is on (the other side of the road is less suitable).

Heloo, this is new isn't it! Just an info, the kitchen is now open if you want any monch! You can ask for food at the bar.
Also, if you find the booked venue room we have gets a bit busy or uncomfortable for socialising, feel free to use the rest of the bar areas to chill with friends or have a drimk. We are catering the room mostly to cosplay and fursuiting at the moment! And using the rest of the bar only looks good for how many of us there are!
Also also, there is a little beer garden area just past the kitchen. Feel free to ask an admin if you need a bit of a tour finding it!

One small note we would like to remind attendees that drinking outside alcohol in front of the venue is not allowed as it can cause the venue to get in trouble with their alcohol licence.

Well, that was different! I think overall though it went well at 3 Old Monks. We will keep working to claim more space, work on small scale comforts and help everyone acclimatise to the new space!
The next meet will be held between 12:00 and 17:30 on the 2nd of May at 3 Old Monks, 23 Commercial St, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6JA

We have a private booked room to ourselves here, with plenty of room in the public venue area to drift into if we get quite busy. Both food and drink is available at the venue as well!
The rules:
1. Partials and full-suits are all good to use in our booked venue room, but should be taken off before leaving the venue room. This may relax in future as we build the relationship with the venue. Small furry accessories (con badges, tails, ears etc.) are fine to wear in the venue. Be careful with the potential of knocking things off tables like glasses while using suits/accessories as well!
2. Don't be a jerk, creepy or overly affectionate to people.
3. Please Respect the places we are in, the staff, and the other guests present! Be considerate with our venue spaces (use of furniture/no mess etc.). Don't bring your own food and drink, within reason. Please also buy stuff at the places we are in, it helps leave a good impression and means we could come back in the future!
4. BRING ID! Even if you're not planning to drink.
5. Please drink responsibly and look out for fellow furs.
6. You must be 18 or older to attend this meet.

Hello! Just some info for the meet tomorrow! I have highlighted the main points in BOLD if you are doing a quick scan, but do find more information and explanation in each text block!
-The private venue room we have booked to ourselves will be held predominantly for fursuiting activities. Last time that room was incredibly busy with how many turned up to see the new venue, which is lovely! But it created a bit of a spacing issue for comfort and temperature, especially for those trying to suit. Therefore this time that side room past the toilets will be prioritised for fursuiting. We aim for this to be the most comfortable place to suit, to store your fursuit items, to have activities like fursuit photography, and to have suit socialising (i.e., this room is not fursuit only!). You can still go in to see suiters and all the sorts if you don't have a suit on, but we are going to try and limit the amount of non-suiting activity in here. If you are looking to sit down and chat with some friends, have some food or drink, or relax somewhere for a bit please try and use other areas within the venue for this! Understand if you are asked to move we aren't trying to be mean, we just want to make things more comfortable while also using the whole venue more strategically!
-We are planning to trial some expansions of the areas booked at the bar. You will likely see us trialling some setup for having more areas booked specifically for EdinFurs in addition to the private venue room. This should make things more comfortable, and give specific area for meet activities other than fursuiting. We are hoping this helps with the overall comfort and spacing at the meet!
-Main fursuit photo at 3:30pm. We are setting up a time for suites to get together in the suiter room so we can get a more coordinated big photo, and to give convenience so we know when the best time for a photo is.

A big thanks to everyone for spacing out more for our May meet! It was a lot more comfortable for suiting, and the vibe of the whole bar was good! We also have more time between bookings at 3 Old Monks, so we have extended the meet 'officially' to 18:00 once again!
