AI Prohibition Post:
After a good amount of reflection, Generative AI content is being prohibited in the EdinFurs chats. It is already a tense subject in general, but for the fandom it has been a pretty consistent source of misery.
While this seems quite a strong stance, we are far from the first Furry group to do it. For the fandom, and especially our creators like artists, it's a supportive stance we want to take, and we believe most members share the sentiment. If the issues it's causing creative furries weren't enough, it gets worse looking at the dense collection of issues it contains in elements like security, a debilitating greed for resources, and even situations like Groks recent 'outburst'. This is the reason for this ban.

We are doing an EdinFurs group photo again this year.

Hoping all who went had a good Scotiacon! And hopefully now looking forward to this approaching EdinFurs meet to continue the social fun! This might be a good Outhouse meet to enjoy too, as you never know when new venues may appear~

I know this place is a little bit out of the way, but it is rather cozy! In a good way! Sadly, the place does not have a kitchen, so ordering food at the bar is a no-go. They allow people to bring their own food to the booked room upstairs, but be prepared to put it away if staff ask you to.
The rules:
1. Tails, con badges, small accessories and ears are fine, just be careful with the potential of knocking things off tables such as glasses. As we’ve got the upstairs space for ourselves again, we have the go-ahead for partials and full-suits, but only in the booked upstairs area. Formally, no costumes/suits (etc.) are allowed downstairs. While in suit, just remember to be wary of nearby drinks on tables and risk of overheating.
2. Don't be a jerk, creepy or overly affectionate to people.
3. Please Respect the places we are in, the staff, and the other guests present! Be considerate with our venue spaces (use of furniture/no mess etc.). Please also don't bring your own drink, within reason. Food is allowed currently, but only in the booked upstairs area. Please also buy stuff at the places we are in, it helps leave a good impression and means we could come back in the future!
4. BRING ID! Even if you're not planning to drink.
5. Please drink responsibly and look out for fellow furs.
6. You must be 18 or older to attend this meet.

New venue time! We've had a good run at Outhouse, and we want to try a new venue to see it's pros/cons and if we can build another good venue relationship! We hope this will be an overall improvement, but feel free to keep in contact with us on how the next few meets go!

EdinFurs Meet, 4th of April 2026 Travel
We wanted to give a little bit of advice/information on travelling to the new venue (3 Old Monks) that will hopefully help some at least! Below is some help for travelling from Waverly in Central Edinburgh using public transport, and a parking image of two places to park that we think are the most convenient.

The two coloured zones in the first image below are our most recommended places to park for the Saturday meets:
-The Red Area is the Ocean Terminal - Red Car Park. This has 700 free car parking spaces, though with a height restriction of 6.9ft (2.10m). It's a little walk away, but should have good availability. The arrows show the entrance and exit areas. https://share.google/ObnyhtH3FpAaNsRnv
-The Blue Area is street parking that is closer to 3 Old Monks and is free and suitable to park during the meet. The second image below shows the signage here, but do double check when you park to ensure it hasn't changed and that you are in the right area. Heloo, this is new isn't it! Just an info, the kitchen is now open if you want any monch! You can ask for food at the bar.
Also, if you find the booked venue room we have gets a bit busy or uncomfortable for socialising, feel free to use the rest of the bar areas to chill with friends or have a drimk. We are catering the room mostly to cosplay and fursuiting at the moment! And using the rest of the bar only looks good for how many of us there are!
Also also, there is a little beer garden area just past the kitchen. Feel free to ask an admin if you need a bit of a tour finding it!
Also, if you find the booked venue room we have gets a bit busy or uncomfortable for socialising, feel free to use the rest of the bar areas to chill with friends or have a drimk.
